Jordan Parks is an American pro basketball player, born on April 6, 1994 in Staten Island (N.Y.). He started his career with the North Carolina Central Eagles (NCAA Division 1) before embracing a European basketball career in 2015.
North Carolina Central Eagles
During the 2013-2014 season, Jordan Parks finished its junior season with the best field goal percentage (65,9 %) of the country! He also produced 10,1 points, 5,6 rebounds and 1,2 blocks in 34 games off the bench. This year, the team qualified for the NCAA March Madness (with Jeremy Ingram, Karamo Kawara and Ebuka Anyaorah), but lost in the first round against Iowa State Cyclones led by future NBAers Monte Morris and Georges Niang (75-93), despite 9 points and 3 rebounds in 18 minutes from Jordan Parks.
During its senior year in 2014-2015, Jordan Parks started all 33 games while averaging 15,6 points and 8,3 rebounds per game. He was also still shooting at 66,0% from the floor, including 37,5% from three points. Only point to improve remained the free-throw shooting (84/126, i.e. 66,7%).
Jordan Parks lands in Italy
After majoring in Psychology at NCCU, Jordan Parks flew to Italy to start it’s European career with Alma Trieste in the second local division (Serie A2). He already averaged 16,3 points (27th) and 9,3 rebounds (8th) in the first season (2015-2016), while having main team responsibilities with 12 shoots attempts per game (4th) with a good field goal percentage: 47,5 %. In 2016-2017, still playing for Alma Trieste, Jordan Parks averaged similar statistics: 14,3 points, 7,5 rebounds, 1,8 assists, 1,4 steals and 1,3 blocks! During these two seasons, he played with Italian legend Andrea Pecile.
Based on these two greats seasons, Jordan joined the German first division (BBL) signing with Telekom Baskets Bonn for the 2017-2018 season. After a great start against Ratiopharm Ulm (15 points, 7 rebounds in 23 minutes) and in the European cup “BasketBall Champion League (BCL)” (avg. 8 points & 5 rebounds), he left the team end of October 2017.
Then, Jordan Parks came back to Italy second division for the 2018-2019 season with Orlandina, for its best season in career: 23,2 points (3rd), 7,8 rebounds, 2,1 assists and 1,2 steals! He also maintained a high shooting efficiency: 47,3% from the fields, 42,6% from 3 points and 86% from free-throw, while leading the league in 2 points shots attempted per game with 13,7 shots. He had its best game of the season in March 2019 with 39 points and 9 rebounds against Zeus Energy Group Rieti. Leading by Jordan Parks and Brandon Triche, Orlandina qualified for the Play-Offs.
